Wanna Dance?
Dvision Suns is a fun, diverse dance team that has been thriving within Downtown Magnets since 2016. Dvision Suns values teamwork, kindness, and of course, enthusiasm. We have been performing at many school events like, Summer Orientation, Eclectic, Pink Day, and Talent Show for the past 3 years.
This was the team from the 19'-20' year! Although small, we are planning for bigger and better things in the future to better our team and make performances that we do better than before!
Our team meets at the student union, in the cafeteria section after school almost everyday. We do have warm-ups that we participate in before every class. Regarding classes, we either have performance classes or student-led classes. Performance classes are mandatory to the student performing at the future event because of wise thinking. However, student classes are voluntary but it is recommended that you go for experience, a fun time, and a new choreography to learn. Of course, student-led classes are "student" led, because of this students are asked to or volunteer to teach classes at any time of the month. Anyone in these classes are also recommended to stay in the front
line and not shy away from the choreographer for the best experience in learning the dance. Speaking from experience of being on this team for an ongoing 3 years, it's fond memories. The team gives confidence and training and even friends. All of us at Dvision Suns are very welcoming and greet newcomers with open arms, it doesn't matter who you are. Being on this team makes one realize how much work is being put into making this dance team into a dream team. Performing at school events have brought us together and made us stronger as a group. All of us come from different backgrounds but still can connect on the same level during our classes.
